Founded by former SpaceX engineers, Synthego is a leading provider of genome engineering solutions. The company’s flagship product, CRISPRevolution, is a portfolio of synthetic RNA designed for CRISPR genome editing and research. Synthego’s vision is to bring precision and automation to genome engineering, enabling rapid and cost-effective research with consistent results for every scientist.
Headquartered in Silicon Valley, California, Synthego customers include leading institutions around the world including countries such as Australia, Belgium, Germany, UK, USA, and Switzerland.
We’re recruiting excellent scientists and engineers to join our cross-disciplinary team that comes from the world of space rockets, satellites, mobile apps, robotics, high-end consumer products, DNA sequencing, and gene therapy.
You’ll help design a smart research facility and lay the foundations of a game-changing project for research, pharma, and biotechnology. Ideal candidates will have been the lead or major contributor to projects involving the design, prototyping, manufacturing, integration, and programming of a complex electromechanical system (such as a scientific instrument, commercial device, or robot) and have a background in science or engineering.
Candidates should take responsibility for projects, be very hands-on, and want to be an early member of an ambitious and fast-paced startup. Lack of work experience is not an obstacle in the case of exceptionally talented and motivated applicants.
Synthego is venture funded by Founders Fund, Menlo Ventures, and WI Harper.
